Learning about seeds
We placed two seeds on a damp paper towel and then slid them into our "greenhouses." Each day we will check to see if they have sprouted.
Ms. Brooke taught us about grains this week. We made popcorn and had a healthy snack.

Washing the germs right off of our hands!
Ms. Brooke taught us the importance of washing hands thoroughly in order to get rid of all kinds of germs. |
To demonstrate how stubborn some germs can be, she put baby oil and cinnamon on our hands. |
It took a lot of rubbing and just a bit of hand soap, but we were able to remove all those great smelling fake germs!

Xx week activities
This week we looked at a dental x-ray and read an x-ray poem together. We then illustrated the poem with a drawing of what our own skeleton might look like in an x-ray.

Free Choice Time
Each day we have a "free choice" time. Our writing table is always popular. This week many students chose to trace seasonal stencils, color them, and then cut them out. Some even decided to turn their bunnies into necklaces by adding a string.

Alphabet Bingo
We played our first game of Alphabet Bingo this week. Not only is it a great way to practice recognizing letters, but it encourages listening skills and our ability to focus. We loved it!
